How can I handle birthday parties or other such walk-in sales?

Birthday Parties

If someone just walks in for a birthday party or some such sales transaction then there is no need to enroll the family in the database.

1. (This you have to do just once) For handling such transactions, simply create one or a few 'generic' children (with names like, First Name = "Birthday"; Last Name = "Party") with 'generic' parents (some similar name).

2. In the Enrollment form pull up one of the generic children. Go to the Accounting menu in the bottom of the form and select Account Register.

3. (This also you have to do just once) In the Account Register click on the [...] button at the top of the Type Of Activity column and create your CHARGE items.

4. In the Account Register use the last line, colored yellow, to enter a charge for the birthday party.

5. Click on the $$ icon (enter payment) and process the payment.

6. When you go back to the Enrollment form the Account Balance for that generic family should show $0 because both the debit for the birthday party sale and credit for the money taken are done.
