Is it possible to import fee and schedule data into iCare from an Excel template?

(Currently, this feature is available only in the SQL version.) 

Yes, you can do that through the Mass Fee and Schedule Edit form.

Using this feature you can edit fee and schedule data for children in a batch.

  1. Click on the Children department. In the Fee and Schedule tab click on Mass Fee and Schedule Edit.
  2. In the left side make selections to fill the All Children’s grid from which you will select the children whose fees you want to edit.
  3. To select one or more children from the All Children grid click on any row or press the Ctrl key and then click on multiple rows.
  4. Use the left and right arrow keys fill the Selected Children grid.
  5. Select one of the payers from the drop-down box.
  6. In the frame that will open, make selections.
  7. Click on the Fill To All or Fill To Unfilled buttons to fill data in the Selected Children grid.
  8. Click on Save the entries.

IMPORTING SCHEDULING DATA: The mass edit form also provides a method for importing schedules from an Excel template.

To fill Schedule Information in the Selected Children Grid quickly you can use Export Schedule Data button.

  1. When you click on this button an Excel Sheet will be created with All the unique Child_Ids in Selected Children Grid.
  2. You will find this sheet in the DCMS9003\Resources\Templates folder. Open this sheet in MS Excel.
  3. In this sheet you will find Child_Id, Child Name, PayerId1, PayerId2 and Subsidy_Id are already filled. Here you can change/fill other columns, like Payer1, Payer2, Subsidy, Time In and Out Start Date, End Date etc.
  4. After filling all the information in this sheet Save and Close the Sheet.
  5. Now in the iCare Mass Fee and Schedule Edit form click on Import Schedule Data. It will fill the whole information from Excel Sheet to Selected Children Grid.
  6. Now you can use Insert button to insert schedules in Database. It will check all the overlapping cases also while inserting a schedule and prompts about the overlapping.
