When I try to void a transaction through the Account Register I get an error message. How do I resolve this?
When you try to void a transaction through the Account Register, if you are getting the error message, "This record is missing some required data and cannot be voided.." then the RL, Receivables Ledger, transaction you are trying to void is perhaps missing GL, general Ledger posting, account IDs.
To fill the missing GL IDs in existing records run the utility program and indicated below:
- Click on the link, http://www.orgamation.com/ServicePacks/FillEmptyGLIDsInRL.exe, and SAVE the file in your C:\DCMS9003\Bin folder.
- Through Windows Explorer go to your C:\DCMS9003\Bin folder and double-click on the file, FillEmptyGLIDsInRL.exe.
Please note that the above utility program will fill generic GL IDs.
For the future make sure you have completed the General Ledger Automated Transactions Setup, so that you will not have empty GL IDs in the RL. See: http://www.orgamation.com/KB/solution_id_1529.html.
