Two types of prepayment methods are available in iCare. The Tutorial Guide (available online) describes how to set up and use them. Here is an overview of these methods and how these are different.

1. Pre-paid packages: In this method, accounting is done in money only. Parents pay a certain amount and based on your setup they would get one of the following - special hourly rate, discounted hourly rate or a fixed additional credit.
   
2. Pre-paid hours: In this method, accounting is done in both money and hours. The money part of accounting is of course necessary for handling parent's account balance and ledger card. However, in addition to money, accounting in hours is also done. Even though hours attended by children is anyhow available in the attendance report, special methods have been added to help you manage hours used and resetting the available hours when the pre-paid hours package expires.
