Layout of the Guide

Part I: Introduction and Installation

This part includes sections on

  • Hardware and software installation
  • Getting started, i.e., basic information about using iCare
  • Hints and tips
  • Administration and maintenance

 

Part II: Users Guide – Operational Functions

Chapters 1 through 7 cover procedures on the main operational areas like children’s enrollment, scheduling, record keeping and staffing, and the management of accounts receivable, billing, attendance and the drop-in service.

Part III: Users Guide – Executive Functions

Chapters 8 through 11 cover procedures on report making, communications and messaging, printing and emailing, and the creation of custom forms and database tables.

Part IV: Users Guide – Financial Functions

Chapters 12 through 14 cover procedures on financial accounting and reporting. It also includes three additional functions – the management of the food program, accounts payable and fixed assets.

Part V: Appendix

The appendix includes a list of standard reports, information on technical support and an index.
