Installing On-line Support Software

You have several choices for the on-line support software that can help us connect to your computer to provide you faster service, for example

§         LogMeIn

§         iCare.Glance.Net

§         MS Windows Terminal Service (remote desktop)

§         VNC

If used correctly, any of these choices provides enough security that no one else from outside can connect to your computer.

We recommend that you install and test the on-line software as soon as possible. With its use you will be able to get help and training from us quicker.

Installing LogMeIn

1.       Go to www.LogMeIn.com.

2.       Click on the big green button, Get LogMeIn Free.

3.       Fill the form at the button of the page. Use your own email address, and make up a password. Note down the email and password. Un-check “Keep me informed about system upgrades...” Click “GO!”.

4.       In the My Computers page, click on Add Computer. Follow the steps there.

5.       Choose Typical for the choice of installation. Say YES for installing the program.

6.       In Access Code enter the same password as above. Click on Finish in the last step.

7.       Open your email. In the email from LogMeIn, click on Activate.

8.       Give us the email address used and the password, and your Windows password.

Installing iCare.Glance.Net

1.      Using your Internet browser, go to www.icare.glance.net.

2.       It will ask you for a session key, which your iCare support person will give at that time.

3.       It may ask you to download an ActiveX component. For that click on RUN.
