Toolbar and Toolbar Customization
Click on any icon in the Toolbar to open a specific report or a form. If you don’t see an icon in the Toolbar that has been referenced in the tutorial guide, click on the Customize icon in the left corner of the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar. The customization form will open. Hide or un-hide the icons according to your needs. Press Apply Changes.
Customize Interface
Click on the Customize icon at the left corner of the Toolbar and select Customize Interface. You can fully customize the interface – the departments, department tabs, what forms and reports should open, and the names and order of the entries.
Departments
The Departments are shown as tab labels in the top but under the Toolbar. Click any department to show the department tabs, or double-click a department to open the main form for that department.
Department tabs are different areas of a department. These provide menus for the various functional areas in the department. The menus show forms at the top and reports below the separator line.
Department tabs showing forms and reports:
Click the “Form Center” button on the left side to see just the forms for all departments. The departments will usually be more convenient since their associated tabs include both forms and reports.
ć Access to the forms and reports can be enabled or disabled for different users. See System Security and User Group Setup (page 93).
Report Action Tool (navigation using reports)
The Report Action Tool opens by right-clicking (clicking the right button of the mouse) on any cell in the Grid view of any report. See article, http://www.orgamation.com/KB/solution_id_1477.html.
Open Forms box
iCare allows you to have many forms open simultaneously. The Open Forms box (see picture above) lists all currently open forms. Double-click any form in the Open Forms box to bring that form to the top.
System Messages Window
Click on the Windows menu, then select System Messages. This displays system messages that have information about the system or the status of children and parents.
Home Page with Memos Calendar
Home Page is located above the departments. It includes a calendar control for center-level memos and summary status reports.
Data Browser
The Data Browser (Data Bsr) icon is the second button on the Toolbar. It allows you to see all the data of any field on a form and to create reports on the fly.
Child-Teacher Ratio Ticker
Click on the Windows Menu. Select the Child-Teacher Ratio Ticker. The ticker shows you real-time attendance and the ratio compliance status. It also has links to common functions (see page 186).
